  • Make Sacred Space: Enchanting Time for Meditation • Intuition • Creativity

Starts May 5 at 7:00 PM EDT (fours Sundays)

As written from Sebene Selassie’s site:

“There should be no denying the truth that we live within an inherently ensouled, numinous universe. But, we often do deny it — because the culture denies it. And (as Krishnamurti said): We think we're thinking our thoughts — we're not, we're thinking the culture's thoughts.

See, you likely already inherently understand that everything around us is alive and conscious. But you may not know how to awaken (or practice) this understanding. Again, that's not your fault. Modernity does not encourage you to remember the truth that everything is sacred.

Why do you want to remember? Because living a more ensouled life helps you nurture belonging, ignite creativity, encourage awe, and generally feel more fully the presence, wonder, and connection that's always knowable.

We're all taught to erect rational defenses and dismiss intuitive ways of knowing. Many of us are embarrassed to admit that we are curious to explore the sacred. You may even think that you have to be special to begin this exploration... ”

  • Grieving While Queer

    3 Thursday sessions: May 16th, 23rd, and 30th, 2024

    5:15 – 6:45 PM Pacific Time (PST)

As written from East Bay Meditation Center:

“In this three part series we will hold space for change, loss and the unknown. Grief is a powerful emotion that can lead us towards meaning, connection and freedom if we tend to what it’s asking for. Working through the queer body we will ask ourselves this simple question: what is needed now? And allow what’s here to be felt and known within a container of support and belonging.”

    Location: Virtual/Zoom

    Cost: $0-$100

  • Black Healing Remixed: 2024 Summit

    Saturday, May 18 · 11am - 3pm PDT

“BEAM Black Healing Remixed: A Healing & Mental Health Summit With A Little More Bass

In Black music, a remix is a new or different version of a recorded song that is made by changing or adding to the original song. Black Healing Remixed (BHR) takes this same idea and applies it to conversations on Black mental health. Just like a remix switches the treble and bass, BHR switches shame to celebration, stigma to social justice, and creates a new chorus of connection rooted in humor, practical skills, and liberation.

Centering Black Wellness - All Genders and Children Welcome!

Black Healing Remixed 2024 is all about the wellness of Black people. Through interactive art, coloring activities, wellness experiences, and dynamic conversations with Black mental health leaders, this day creates space for joy, love, and healing centering Black folks.

    Join us, for the remix.”

Location: 1125 Crenshaw Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90019
