Hello, I’m Sandy and you can feel a sense of hope and direction again .

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family therapist (AMFT 129579) employed and supervised by Lara Mekhitarian (LMFT 78395). I specialize in using EMDR and Holistic therapy to help people who are struggling with feeling hopeless, unworthy, and blocked to feeling secure in their own skin, cultivating self-trust, and reclaiming confidence, excitement, and hope for life.

My work focuses on ushering you into a zone where you’re connecting with others and yourself in meaningful ways, tapping into your creativity, compassion, and wisdom, and accessing the resources needed to persevere and discover what it truly means to feel and be alive as you define it.

I also specialize in using Emotionally Focused Therapy for multicultural and LGBTQ+ relationships. Here my work focuses on supporting couples in overcoming disconnection and de-escalating conflict in order to promote communication, understanding, intimacy, and reconnection.

  • Here we explore what your needs are, what you're looking for in therapy and in a therapist, what your scheduling needs are, discuss fees, and answer any other questions or concerns you may have.

    SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION

  • If we determine that we are a good fit, we will schedule a first session and I will promptly provide you with the necessary intake paperwork (which includes informed consent) via a secure platform that can be completed electronically.

  • During our initial 50-minute sessions, we delve into a comprehensive and holistic discussion regarding your presenting issues, relevant background and history, and goals.

    Through this open and collaborative conversation, we work together to develop a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to your unique needs.

    Afterwards, we meet weekly (or biweekly) where we will work together towards achieving your desired goals for therapy.
